Personal Data Protec on Policy
This Personal Data Protec on Policy (“Policy”) sets out the basis which TIDAL Marine Geotechnics Pte Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”) may collect, use, disclose or otherwise process your personal data in
accordance with the Personal Data Protec on Act (“PDPA”). This Policy applies to your personal data
in our possession or under our control, including personal data in the possession of organisa ons
which we have engaged to collect, use, disclose or process your personal data for our purposes.
1. PERSONAL DATA
As used in this Policy:
• “personal data” means data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be
iden fied:
(a) from that data; or
(b) from that data and other informa on to which we have or are likely to have
access; and
• “data intermediary” in this Policy means an organisa on which processes personal
data on behalf of another organisa on (the data controller).
2. Depending on the nature of your interac on with us, some examples of personal data which
we may collect from you include name, email address, telephone number, nationality,
employment informa on and any informa on you have provided for the services carried out.
3. Other terms used in this Policy shall have the meanings given to them in the PDPA (where the
context so permits).
BUSINESS CONTACT INFORMATION (BCI)
4. Under the Singapore Personal Data Protec on Act 2012, business contact informa on (Name,
business address, business telephone number, business mobile number etc.) is not considered
as personal data so long as it is used strictly for business-to-business (B2B) transac ons.
COLLECTION, USE AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA
5. We generally do not collect your personal data unless
(a) it is provided to us voluntarily by you directly or via a third party who has been duly
authorized by you to disclose your personal data to us (your “authorized
representa ve”) a er
(i) you (or your authorised representa ve) have been no fied of the purposes
for which the data is collected, and
(ii) you (or your authorised representa ve) have provided wri en consent to
the collec on and usage of your personal data for those purposes, or
(b) collec on and use of personal data without consent is permi ed or required by the
PDPA or other laws. We shall seek your consent before collec ng any addi onal
personal data and before using your personal data for a purpose which has not been
no fied to you (except permi ed or authorised by law).
6. You have choices regarding our collec on, use or disclosure of your personal data. You have
the right to object to the processing of your personal data and withdraw your consent in the
manner described in clause 13 to 16. However, if you choose not to provide us with the
personal data intended for the purpose(s) for which you have been no fied, we may not be
able to fulfil the said purpose(s) in clause 10 and 11.7. We may collect, disclose or use your personal data pursuant to an excep on under the
Personal Data Protec on Act or other wri en law such as during the following situa ons:
• To respond to an emergency that threatens your life, health and safety or of another
individual; and
• Necessary in the na onal interest, for any inves ga on or proceedings.
8. Any unsolicited personal data received by us will be returned to the sender immediately. If
received by email or through our website, these unsolicited personal data will be deleted
immediately. If received by telephone, these will not be recorded.
9. If we are a data intermediary, we will ensure the limited processing of personal data to the
purposes specified by the Data Controller and according to their instruc ons.
10. 11. We may collect and use your personal data for any or all of the following purposes:
(a) performing obliga ons in the course of or in connec on with our provision of the
goods and/or services requested by you;
(b) to access to project site for security clearance with our provision of the goods and
services requested by our customer;
(c) responding to, handling, and processing queries, requests, applica ons, complaints,
and feedback from you;
(d) assessing and evalua ng your suitability for employment in any current or prospec ve
posi on within the organiza on;
(e) verifying your iden ty and the accuracy of your personal details and other informa on
provided by you;
(f) monitor the safety and security of our premises via CCTV surveillance, review
incidents for inves ga on purposes, and assist law enforcement agencies when
required; and
(g) Perform other func ons or serve other purposes, as disclosed to you at the point of
collec on, or as required or permi ed by law.
We may disclose your personal data:
(a) where such disclosure is required for performing obliga ons in the course of or in
connec on with our provision of the goods and services requested by you;
(b) to access to project site for security clearance with our provision of the goods and
services requested by our customer;
(c) where we employ data intermediaries or third-party service providers (other
companies and individuals) to perform func ons on our behalf. They will need access
to your personal informa on needed to perform their func ons;
(d) where such disclosure is required for assessing and evalua ng your suitability for
employment in any current or prospec ve posi on within the organiza on;
(e) where such disclosure is required to verify your iden ty and the accuracy of your
personal details and other informa on provided by you;
(f) where such disclosure is required for safety, security and investigation purposes, and to
assist law enforcement agencies; and
(g) where such disclosure is required to perform other func ons or serve other purposes,
as disclosed to you at the point of collec on, or as required or permi ed by law.
12. The purposes listed in the above clauses may continue to apply even in situations where your
relationship with us (for example, pursuant to your employment contract should you be hired)has been terminated or altered in any way, for a reasonable period thereafter (including, where
applicable, a period to enable us to enforce our rights under a contract with you).
WITHDRAWING YOUR CONSENT
13. The consent that you provide for the collec on, use and disclosure of your personal data will
remain valid un l such me it is being withdrawn by you in wri ng. You may withdraw consent
and request us to stop collec ng, using and/or disclosing your personal data for any or all of
the purposes listed above by submi ng your request in wri ng or via email to our Data
Protec on Officer at the contact details provided below.
14. Upon receipt of your wri en request to withdraw your consent, we may require reasonable
time (depending on the complexity of the request and its impact on our rela onship with you)
for your request to be processed and for us to notify you of the consequences of us acceding
to the same, including any legal consequences which may affect your rights and liabili es with
us. In general, we shall seek to process your request within ten (10) business days of receiving
it.
15. Whilst we respect your decision to withdraw your consent, please note that depending on the
nature and scope of your request, we may not be in a posi on to con nue providing our goods
or services to you, or provide you with certain products or services you have requested for, or
con nue the exis ng rela onship you have with us. In such circumstances, we shall no fy you
before comple ng the processing of your request. Should you decide to cancel your
withdrawal of consent, please inform us in wri ng in the manner described in clause 13 to 16.
16. Please note that withdrawing consent does not affect our right to con nue to collect, use and
disclose personal data where such collec on, use and disclose without consent is permi ed
or required under applicable laws.
ACCESS TO AND CORRECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

(a) an access request for access to a copy of the personal data which we hold about you
or information about the ways in which we use or disclose your personal data, or
(b) a correc on request to correct or update any of your personal data which we hold
about you, you may submit your request in wri ng or via email to our Data Protec on
Officer at the contact details provided below.
Please note that a reasonable fee may be charged for an access request. If so, we will inform
you of the fee before processing your request.
We will respond to your request as soon as reasonably possible. In general, our response will
be within thirty (30) calendar days. Should we not be able to respond to your request within
thirty (30) calendar days a er receiving your request, we will inform you in wri ng within
thirty (30) calendar days of the me by which we will be able to respond to your request. If
we are unable to provide you with any personal data or to make a correc on requested by
you, we shall generally inform you of the reasons why we are unable to do so (except where
we are not required to do so under the PDPA).PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
20. To safeguard your personal data from unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure,
copying, modification, disposal or similar risks, we have introduced appropriate
administra ve, physical and technical measures such as up-to-date antivirus protec on,
encryption, use of privacy filters, access control, password protec on and disclosing personal
data both internally and to our authorised third-party service providers and agents only on a
need-to-know basis.
21. You should be aware, however, that no method of transmission over the Internet or method
of electronic storage is completely secure. While security cannot be guaranteed, we strive to
protect the security of your informa on and are constantly reviewing and enhancing our
informa on security measures.
ACCURACY OF PERSONAL DATA
22. We generally rely on personal data provided by you (or your authorised representa ve). In
order to ensure that your personal data is current, complete and accurate, please update us
if there are changes to your personal data by informing our Data Protec on Officer in wri ng
or via email at the contact details provided below. We will take reasonable steps to ensure
that the personal data we collect about you is accurate, complete, not misleading and kept
up-to-date, taking into account its intended use. Where possible, we will validate the
informa on provided by you using generally accepted prac ces and guidelines.
RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA
23. 24. We may retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which
it was collected, or as required or permi ed by applicable laws.
We will cease to retain your personal data, or remove the means by which the data can be
associated with you, as soon as it is reasonable to assume that such reten on no longer serves
the purpose for which the personal data was collected, and is no longer necessary for legal or
business purposes.
TRANSFERS OF PERSONAL DATA OUTSIDE OF SINGAPORE
25. We generally do not transfer your personal data to countries outside of Singapore. However,
if we do so, we will obtain your consent for the transfer to be made and we will take steps to
ensure that your personal data con nues to receive a standard of protection that is at least
comparable to that provided under the PDPA.
DATA BREACH NOTIFICATION
26. In the event a breach of security leading to accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration,
unauthorized disclosure of, or access to, personal data, we shall promptly assess the impact and
once assessed that it is a notifiable data breach, we shall report this breach within 3 calendar
days to the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC). We will notify you when the databreach is likely to result in significant harm to you a er our no fica on to PDPC. We may also
no fy other relevant regulatory agencies, where required.
If we act as a Data Intermediary, we will promptly no fy the relevant Data Controller of any
data breach without undue delay, enabling them to assess the impact and fulfil their data
breach no fica on obliga ons promptly.

EFFECT OF POLICY AND CHANGES TO POLICY
30. This Policy applies in conjunction with any other notices, contractual clauses and consent
clauses that apply in relation to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data by us.
31. We may revise this Policy from me to me without any prior no ce. You may determine if
any such revision has taken place by referring to the date on which this Policy was last
updated. Your con nued use of our services cons tutes your acknowledgement and
acceptance of such changes.
